Steps to Find the Sticker

Remove the Front Panel: Once the furnace is off, remove the front panel.

Check Inside the Unit: The sticker is typically located:

On the back of the panel.

On the inside wall.

On the inside floor of the unit.

Take a Clear Picture: Ensure the model and serial numbers are legible.
Ignore the Outside Sticker
Ignore the Outside Sticker: The sticker on the outside (usually on the front or side of the ductwork) is for the indoor part of the AC. Focus on finding the sticker inside the furnace.
Step-by-step Photo Guidance
1️⃣ This is the front view of an average furnace.
2️⃣ To remove front cover, twist locks from the locked/vertical (see top photo) to the unlocked/horizontal (see bottom photo) position.
3️⃣ The equipment sticker is most commonly located on the back of the cover (circled in red).
Other possible locations for the equipment sticker are the bottom or sides on the inside of the equipment (four common locations circled in red).
❗NOTE: the sticker on the ductwork above the furnace (circled in red below) provides information about the AC or heat pump. This is not the equipment sticker for the furnace.
